Starting on Monday, December 17^th, Grand Avenue will be shut down completely from Christie Street to Oakdene Avenue.  Southbound trucks on Grand Avenue will be directed to turn right onto Fort Lee Road Westbound to bypass the detour.  Southbound Grand Avenue cars will be sent East on Christie Street to Broad Avenue.  Northbound Grand Avenue traffic will be diverted in Palisades Park and redirected up on to Broad Avenue Northbound.  This traffic will continue to Hillside Avenue where the detour will go West on Hillside and then North on Grand.  The work hours and adherence to this detour plan will be from 10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. 

The contractor will be off the road at 8:00 p.m.  At this time the road will be opened to Northbound Grand Avenue traffic but the southbound detour will remain in effect.  At 6:30 a.m. the police will allow for alternating traffic on Grand Avenue, Northbound and Southbound, during the morning rush until 10:00 a.m. when the full road closure goes into effect.
