NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Qualified Purchasing Agent of the Borough of Leonia, Bergen County, New Jersey, for the Broad Avenue (Section 12) Improvements (NJDOT FY2023 Municipal Aid) Project, and opened and read in public in the second floor of Borough Hall, 312 Broad Ave., Leonia, New Jersey on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 at 11:00 AM prevailing time.
The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the specifications. The work generally consists of milling, resurfacing with base course repair, concrete curbing, driveway apron repair, miscellaneous sidewalk repair, stormwater system repairs, and ADA compliant handicap ramps.
Plans, Specifications, and forms of bid for the proposed work, prepared by Pennoni Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, are on file in the Borough of Leonia Municipal Building, 312 Broad Avenue, Leonia, N.J. 07605 and may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours beginning Tuesday, June 25th, 2024. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the contract documents and plans by the Borough of Leonia, upon proper notice and payment of a non-refundable copy cost of $50.00 to Pennoni.
Proposals must be made on the Standard Proposal Forms in a manner designated in the contract documents, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the work on the outside and must be accompanied by all items identified in the Contract Documents including, but not limited to, a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and a bid guarantee (Proposal Security) for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid except that the guarantee need not exceed $20,000.00. All bids must be accompanied by electronic version in CD/DVD/Flash Drive Form.
The Borough of Leonia reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Borough of Leonia.
