1. Submit a Zoning Application on the Borough’s website which requires details about the building structure, any modifications or renovations, and a site plan.
2. Secure a Certificate of Continued Occupancy for Commercial & Industrial Buildings on the Borough’s website which requires details about your business and the property owner.
3. Schedule an Inspection on the Borough’s website.

Depending on the size of your business and/or intended commercial use, a more detailed site plan review or Health Department inspection may also be required.

NEW LIABILITY INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL BUSINESSES

The owner of a business in Leonia shall annually provide to the Borough a certificate of insurance that maintains liability insurance in an amount of no less than $500,000 for combined property damage and bodily injury to or death of one or more persons in any one accident or occurrence.

A valid certificate of insurance must be submitted with the Clerk's Office annually.
